Instant object lesson

This week I had a great experience in class. I had been up most of the night with terrible stomach trouble, and went into class at 8:30 AM Friday with bad cramps. We were studying Isaiah, and as we read the promises in chapter 53:5,6, God immediately touched me and took away the pain. Instant object lesson.

Thanks for thinking of us. Sherry is doing much better at school, and Marge is rejoining me this morning. God bless.

Powerless anointing in Goibei

One of the biggest upgrades in the CREATE program is Powerpoint. I have reduced half my term’s teaching to Powerpoint, and really looked forward to using it for the first time Monday.

It was, however, powerless anointing. The anointing was there. The electricity was not. So neither was the powerpoint. It went better Tuesday.

The teachers attending this term represent 5,795 children, who will be touched. Thank you for help making this possible.

God bless.

Shaving with toothpaste at Goibei

I’m now in Kisumu, Sherry is settled in boarding school, and Marge will be flying to meet me soon (the roads are too bad for me to drive to Nairobi to get her).

It wasn’t really the shaving cream’s fault. After all, it had suffered 16 hours of battering in a rickety old train, in with my other toiletry items. So when I finally arrived at Goibei and tried to shave, I assumed the blue lotion on the shaving cream can was shaving cream. After I spread it all over my face I found it to be toothpaste. Now I have no fear of facial cavities.

We have been buying supplies for the teachers who are due to arrive Monday, and things are hopping. Thank you for thinkging of us!

Hi from London, Heathrow

Hi!

Marge and Sherry are sawing logs in a deserted spot in terminal 4, and I am catching up on my e-mails.

We had the most difficult time ever at security in Toronto last night. They were making the house-flies go through metal detectors. We had to repack 2 bags, and pay excess luggage for the first time ever.

It was a fantastic time at Cedarview in Paris as we said good-bye. Their interest and support are encouraging.

By this evening, we will be in Nairobi, and I will face the challenge of Nairobi traffic, on the other side of the road.

Thanks for your love and prayers. God bless.
