Taunt added to insult added to injury

So I was minding my own business, winding through the pot holes near Nakuru, dodging speed bumps (the insults added to the injuries) when I came to a taunt. Can you imagine? A toll booth in the middle of all this!

It was worth it, however, to visit Sherry at her school. Things are similar to the late 80’s when Gord, Allan and Lynda attended. Some of their teachers are still here. Sherry will benefit from this.

One of the teachers at our 3-month course told how he came to us. Over 10 years ago he observed how one of his teachers was dramatically changed, revitalized, and motivated. And he found out how. They had attended CREATE. He vowed to come,as well, when he could. What a revolutionary ministry!

Thanks for thinking of us. God bless.

Spirit or spirit

We continue to enjoy interaction with our teachers, who are increasing in zeal, and are anxious to visit their homes at mid-term to use the skills and blessings from their studies.

It is interesting how CREATE reaches out. Not only are there 5,794 children represented by the teachers attending our course, but there are other side-effects. One teacher, Irene, says she is now challenged to reach out to a unique group in her village. They are illegal distillers of local beer. When the police raid the village, the moonshiners run to her little lawn because the police know Irene doesn’t break the law. Only now Irene is ready to preach the Gospel to them when they come….. You know, be filled with the Spirit, not spirit.

Thanks for thinking of us. God bless.

Insult to injury…on the roads

Okay, it’s interesting enough that the roads look like the surface of Jupiter in places. But when they put speed bumps in the middle of potholes that would hide a medium size school bus…that is adding insult to injury.

Attitude is important, however, and we enjoy the 45-minute drive to town to check e-mails.

The teaching continues……I have taught for 48 hours during the last 2 weeks. It is gratifying to know that the teachers represent 5,700 children. The first week 4 teachers recommitted their lives to Christ, and two were saved.

It is rewarding to know that you are helping reach 5,497 children, whose teachers are attending our course. Four of the teachers recommitted their lives to Christ the first week, and two gave their lives to Him for the first time.

Sherry is doing much better. She is now fitting in well. Thanks for praying. God bless.
